Kill Time Objective

In this poem for Houston Public Media (Voices and Verses) a flurry of perspective-shifts throughout place and time narrates the anxiety of fleeing entrapment. A voice guides others toward an insurrectionary escape, and through quickly unfolding scenes that flutter together like a photo album. We are led as readers to new and strange ways of reimaging an education; specifically, one that consists of flickers of sights placed closely together for communal archival and deliverance.
