Daniel Senise

This essay on the Brazilian artist covers the period of works made between 1988-1994 and has text in both Spanish and English. Through numerous large scale canvases that incorporate the surrounding environment, both nature and culture coalesce in Senise’s art of “de-creation.” Tejada poetically describes the artist’s expansive visual vocabulary, which incorporates mythology, poetry, and science, like a vernacular made out of runes left undeciphered.
