Roberto Tejada & Susan Howe

This 2011 reading for the Poetry Project features the two poets at St. Marks Church in New York City. Encountering the archives of histories, Tejada and Howe read from work that, respectively, features subject matter that travels back from near-future dystopias to the life world of an 18th century theologian and his daughters. On full display here in this musically inflected poetry event is an impressive capacity for writing in forms that defy genre.
